Ethiopia to Home- Adoption Timeline

July 31, 2012- Resubmitted to SMOWA
July 17, 2012- Dossier translated and registered with SMOWA
July 3, 2012- Dossier Authentication in Washington and headed to Ethiopia!
June 15, 2012- Completed Dossier Authentication in Los Angeles, CA
June 3, 2012- Dossier started expiring... Working on redoing it all!
December 11, 2011- Still waiting for our adoption decree from Ethiopia
November 27, 2011- Left Ethiopia without an Adoption Decree
November 25, 2011- Appeared before a Judge in Ethiopia and confirmed our intent to adopt "K' and "G'"!
November 22, 2011- Met our sweet "K" and "G" for the first time!!!!
November 20, 2011- Traveled to Ethiopia, via Dubai!
October 11, 2011- Received Reservation Confirmation for the Morning Coffee Guest House!!
October 10, 2011- Purchased First Round of Tickets to Ethiopia!!!
October 7, 2011- Receive a Court Date of November 25th!!!
September 6, 2011- Submitted to Court in Ethiopia!!!
July 13, 2011- Received REFERRAL!!! For Amazing Little Man G and Princess Baby Girl K!!!!
July 12, 2011- Waiting 237 Days for a Referral
May 31, 2011- Waiting 195 Days for a Referral
March 21, 2011- Waiting 124 Days for a Referral
March 8, 2011- Waiting 111 days for a Referral
February 9, 2011- Prayer and Fasting for Grace and all of Ethiopia
November 30, 2010- Changes to Home Study and I600A Application
November 16, 2010- Dossier has been translated and accepted by MOWA (Ethiopian Governing Body)
November 5, 2010- Dossier received from Washington D.C. and sent to ETHIOPIA!!!
October 21, 2010- Dossier sent to Washington D.C. for the GREAT SEAL
October 13, 2010- Paid Country Fee and Dossier Fee's to BCS
October 12, 2010- Ricky hand delivers Dossier to BCS
October 5, 2010- Receive Authenticated Birth Certificate from Nevada
October 2, 2010- FedEx Brandi's Birth Certificate to Nevada for Authentication
October 2, 2010- Drive to Sacramento and Back in less than 24 hours AUTHENTICATION OF DOCUMENTS
September 11, 2010- Paperwork done, need authentication in Sacramento
July 14 2010, Start over with a good amount of paperwork that is now TOO OLD!
July 13, 2010- Police Clearance signed off by a dear friends DAD!!!
April- July- BLOCK WALL ON POLICE CLEARANCE
April 8, 2010- Approval letter from USCIS to adopt internationally
March 21, 2010- TWO Trips is now required to adopt from Ethiopia
February 22, 2010- FOUND our application for I600A and is being processed
February 10, 2010- Found of USCIS lost our I600A Application and it has not been processed =(
December 31, 2009- Signed Official Copy of Home Study
December 28, 2009- Received Notice of Processing I600A
December 2, 2009- 3 of 3 Home Study Appointments!!! YEAH!!!
November 23, 2009- 2 of 3 Home Study Appointments
November 18, 2009- 1 of 3 Home Study Appointments
November 10, 2009- Finger Printed (set 1)
November 8, 2009- Accepted into the Ethiopia Program with BCS
November 7, 2009- Told Parents about our Adoption Plans!!!
November 5, 2009- Formal Application Received and Processed
October 29, 2009- Preliminary Application Accepted/Start Formal Application Process
October 26, 2009- Preliminary Application to BCS (Agency)
October 16th, 2009- Decided on Ethiopia and Bethany Christian Services (Agency)
October 1st-15th, 2009- Researching Adoption Agencies and Countries
August 2009- Seriously Praying and Fasting about Adopting
July 2009- Started talking about Adopting
